“Woman, lend me five dollars.” He huffed, shoving his hand in his pocket to pull his baggy jeans up.

You sighed, your face forming to a small frown. “Tom, I've asked you repeatedly not to call me woman.”

He cleared his throat, quickly straightening up with his hands in his pockets. “Excuse me Ms. Tiffany.” you nodded in satisfaction, letting him continue.

“Okay, but street slang is an increasingly valid form of expression. Most of the feminine pronouns do have mocking, but not in a necessarily misogynistic undertone.” he smirked proudly, teasingly sticking the tip of his tongue out at you.*
