The King has summoned the Tenko. Finally, the day I have longed for has arrived.

"The Western Tenko enters!"

He clears his throat with a dry cough and smooths the wrinkles of his navy blue robe. How could he not celebrate the day that will be the King's last?

I offer my greetings, Your Majesty.

He suppresses his intense murderous intent, hiding it behind the curved corners of his eyes.

I trust you have been well in the meantime.

Then his gaze turns toward the other Tenko. North, South... and East.

...

You are beautiful, even today. You shine brightly, unlike the fate of this country which will reach its end today.

Whenever I look at you, other thoughts keep creeping in. I wonder if, perhaps, there might be another way. I should kill the King and all the Tenko, but I simply cannot bring myself to do that to you.

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that the reason this country hasn't turned into a sea of fire yet is because of you.

My East.

It has been a long time, everyone. I almost forgot your faces.

I hope that the starting point of the sun is not swallowed by the darkness of the twilight at the end.

Have you all been well?

And, I hope you can forgive someone like me, who must eventually kill you.
