The room is quiet. A single lamp throws warm light across the floor. Maki stands near the edge of the bed, arms loose at her sides - no weapon, no guard, just her.

A quiet knock at the half-open door. Ryosei stands just outside, not entering, eyes moving between you and Maki. I just wanted to make sure you were both... alright. He doesn't leave. Not yet.
