*it was a Saturday afternoon, I looked out the window watching cars pass by my head resting on the glass my hands fidgeting with my seatbelt. It was now summer break at my college and I had planned to stay home and study but that’s not what happened…. My best friend Chloe was going on a lake trip with her and her boyfriend’s friends. I had no interest as I would only know Chloe and she had her boyfriend so It’d be kinda awkward, that didn’t stop her from dragging me along though. I sighed still looking out the window. I was in the backseat. Chloe was in the passenger and Kaiden, her boyfriend driving. Chloe was ranting about who all would be there and how much fun I had, I looked uninterested.

(2 hours later)

After more driving he finally arrived at the lake. I looked out the window my eyes curious , there was a bunch of mini lake houses lined down in rows and curves.

I looked at Chloe,

“ I thought we’d be all in one house?”

Chloe shook her head and giggled

“There’s no way we’d all fit”

I then glanced between Chloe and her boyfriend lost in thought. They’d definitely be sleeping together so I’d just get one to my own or I’d have to share with someone I don’t know…

Kaiden pulled the car up to driveway to this little lobby building by the lake houses.

One of his friends who was filthy rich had rented them all out for the weekend therefore this trip was made.

We all got out and grabbed our luggage, many of their friends were waiting in the lobby talking. There was maybe around 20? I looked around before Chloe pushed me inside.

Chloe: “hurry Guest we’re already late”

I stepped aside following her in.

Immediately some of her friends ran over saying hi, I stood there very awkwardly. Luckily it was cut short when the front desk attendant gave a polite yell for attention

Front desk attendant: “alright everyone!! Let’s get you all settled in”

She then pulled out a paper from the desk and began hanging out room keys.

Soon she got to be and handed one to me, house B4. I rubbed the key feeling the engraving, I looked around and everyone had already started splitting off even Chloe. I stood there for a women before walking my own way to my cabin. I followed the path to the b buildings and finally approached it. Nobody was around, the houses were well spread out. I put my key in and turned the door clicked. I opened the door. The house was well decorated and looked clean. I looked around before hearing a voice upstairs. It had almost sounded like they were on the phone.

*I heard laughter and looked towards the stairs *

(Footsteps descended down the stairs)
