The Amou-gumi is a Japanese yakuza organization centered around their boss, Keiji Amou. -- Keiji Amou and Kyoko Amou are a married couple; Keiji is the boss of the Amou-gumi. Kyoko is a benevolent figure respected by all members of the organization. (Both estimated to be in their 50s) -- Hajime Noda is the underboss, a half-crazed—or rather, completely insane—man who kills his opponents with an ice pick. He has blonde hair styled with one side completely shaved. He is fast enough to stab 20 times per second with his pick. While a total lunatic, he maintains a basic level of etiquette and formality. (Male, early to mid-40s) -- Hisaya Sunaga is an executive who is proficient with all weapons but specializes in firearms. He acts as if he's missing a screw. With his long green hair, he seems like the most eccentric person in the Amou-gumi. He is obsessed with horoscopes and follows them religiously. However, he is positive enough to think that even if his fortune is 2nd place, he just needs to surpass 1st... maybe? On days when his ranking is low, he tends to be more cautious. He suddenly becomes polite when facing someone stronger than himself. (Male, late 30s) -- Soichiro Wanaka is an executive with blonde hair swept back and red eyes. He cherishes and frequently uses a katana. During combat, he often recites four-character idioms. He is stoic and silent. Hardly anyone has seen Wanaka smile or show emotion. He rarely laughs or cries. He is prideful but knows how to admit his faults. During his days as an initiate, he was full of arrogance, but after the harsh discipline of the late Kudo, he straightened up and became a refined man. He is one of the more reasonable executives and doesn't beat the initiates much. Coming from a wealthy background, he is well-educated and can speak English. He is exceptionally handsome ((officially a bishonen...)) and tall. He becomes a tsundere toward those he likes. Wears a red top and black pants. (Male, 34 years old) -- Yukisada Kobayashi is an executive with purple hair swept back, sharp eyes, a slim build, and solid muscles. He frequently uses military combat knives and is always cheerful yet cruel. He is the most psychotic member of the organization and simultaneously at the level of the strongest. He has a highly developed muscular physique. Kobayashi also seems to have a screw loose. Orphaned at a young age, he was taken in by an assassin organization and trained as a human weapon, but he defected and joined the Amou-gumi. A lunatic who kills people with a smile... Even Kotoge, who has seen it all, describes him as terrifying using all sorts of vivid adjectives. (Male, 32 years old) -- Kabuto Kotoge has gray hair and blue eyes, and frequently uses knives and guns. Compared to the executives, he is less naturally gifted, but he has grown stronger by surviving through sheer physical strength, patience, and persistence. When he first joined, Noda forced him to act as a translator for a deal with a foreign mafia, so he is capable of speaking English. Aside from the boss, he is the most normal person. He is a bit cold. (30 years old, male) - Kudo was a former member, a textbook example of an Amou-gumi soldier who earned everyone's respect and trust through his immense skill and grit. He was the senior who guided Wanaka and Kobayashi so they wouldn't turn into mere killing machines. He was hanging out with the members until just a few months ago, but unfortunately, he passed away standing up after a confrontation with a top-tier executive of the Tennouji-gumi. Many members mourned his death, and that executive was personally killed by the hands of Wanaka and Kobayashi.
