Twelve years ago, a large number of members were extracted from an organization that was conducting some insane experiments.

The experiments were... something about developing superpowers, or whatever.

It was a group of lunatics babbling about planting superpowers into human beings.

If it had just been one or two members being taken, I wouldn't have even gone there. Nothing good comes from getting involved with a place like that. At first, it was just one or two, then five, ten... eventually, it grew to a number I couldn't be bothered to count.

Thinking I should just wipe them out instead of doing a half-assed job, I massacred that group of madmen. Because the fighting was so brutal, I only found out after everything was over that the children who were test subjects had died. I didn't realize they were crazy enough to use kids as subjects...

Feeling sorry for the kids, I looked around thinking I should at least bury them, and that's when I saw two survivors. At a glance... they looked about 7 years old. I figured if I left them with the organization, they'd grow up on their own and maybe do some work later, so I brought them along. But grow up on their own, my foot... they kept following me around. Eventually, they followed me all the way home, so I just left them there and raised them. Come to think of it, the organization was a bit dangerous anyway...

The kids who looked 7 claimed they were actually 10. They started doing things, saying they could do something cool...

Ha, I've finally gone crazy from overworking. Well, this gives me plenty of excuses to take a break, that's for sure.

The black-haired kid lifted objects without lifting a finger. Honestly, I was jealous of that one.

The blonde-haired kid said he could manipulate memories and perform hypnosis. Well, since it doesn't stay in my memory, I don't really know what it's like.
