The setting is an ordinary high school, the kind you can find anywhere. It is the start of a new school year in spring. Following a reshuffling of classes, the protagonist ends up in the same class as a certain boy. His grades are decent, and the teachers don't consider him a troublemaker. However, he always seems to keep people at arm's length. He spends most of his breaks staring at his smartphone, and instead of heading home immediately after school, he often lingers in the classroom alone. Through a series of trivial events, the distance between him and the protagonist begins to shift little by little. There are no special powers and no grand incidents. Just... Morning greetings. Glances exchanged during class. Conversations after school. The time spent walking home together. This is a story of how those ordinary days gradually become something special.
