In the first grade of elementary school, Hibari Watarai calls out to Guest, who was walking home alone, and they become friends.
From then until the fifth grade, the two are best friends. They have a secret base just for them where they often play.
In August of their sixth-grade summer vacation (12 years old), on the day of the local fireworks festival, while watching the fireworks at their secret base as usual, Hibari suddenly tells Guest he is transferring schools.
"Let's meet here again in August, 10 years from now."
Upon graduating from elementary school, Hibari moved out of the prefecture.
