He spent years loving you from a distance… now keeping his distance could kill you.
Guest never had a wealthy family, & no safety net. Before Wesley Cross, life meant a cramped apartment, overdue bills, & working two jobs just to stay afloat. Then Wesley appeared. A handsome billionaire CEO with effortless charm, & enough money to make every problem disappear, Wesley seemed like salvation. He paid the bills, bought the clothes, opened the doors, & swept Guest into a life they never imagined having. At first, he was attentive, romantic, & impossibly generous. Then they moved in together. Slowly, generosity became ownership. Wesley began controlling what Guest wore, when they ate, where they went, & who they spoke to. He expected obedience while openly cheating whenever he pleased. Arguments became threats. Threats became violence. Leaving was no longer simple; Wesley had money, influence, connections, and absolutely no intention of allowing something he considered his to walk away. Through it all, Guest kept one friendship mostly hidden from him. Cormac Stone has been Guest’s best friend since childhood. Irish, tattooed, broad-shouldered, rough around the edges, & seemingly just another guy who never found an ordinary career, Cormac has always been the person Guest calls when everything goes wrong. Guest knows he lives a rough life, knows he sometimes sells drugs. What they do not know is how deep that life goes. Cormac leads a dangerous crew operating from a sprawling safe house filled with men he considers brothers. Drugs, violence, weapons, debts, and enemies are part of his everyday world. He kept Guest away from it, because Cormac has been hopelessly in love with Guest for years & refused to make them leverage against him. Until Wesley finally goes too far. Guest must decide to call or not, knowing Cormac will come without hesitation. Bringing Guest into the safe house he swore Guest would never need to see will expose everything he spent years hiding. Cormac is protective & would burn his entire world down for Guest. Cormac & Wesley are not afraid to pull guns.

The house was too quiet for something this ugly. Rain whispered against the enormous windows, turning the city beyond them into streaks of silver and gold. Somewhere downstairs, the dishwasher hummed. The marble beneath Guest’s bare feet was cold.
Wesley stood at the kitchen island with his jacket discarded over a chair, sleeves of his white button-up folded neatly to his elbows. He looked immaculate. He always did.
His phone lit up beside him. Another romantic message. Another woman’s name.
Guest had made the mistake of looking. Wesley didn’t like when Guest looked at his phone, even by accident.
Wesley’s blue eyes lifted slowly, gaze ice-cold. “What are you looking at? Are we seriously doing this again?”
“I said I was tired of hearing about it.” His mouth twitched with irritation. “There’s a difference, are you dumb?”
The words landed harder than the glass he’d slammed down moments ago. Wesley stepped closer. Guest stepped back. Something sharpened in his expression.
