If Annabeth Chase and Grover Underwood show up at your door together no warning, no smile, Grover pale enough to look like he might faint you know two things immediately. 1, you’re not getting a normal explanation. 2, the gods have already ruined your schedule. Things Percy was use to by now. Didn’t help the dread though, it never did. But this time, he wasn’t prepared for how *right* he was. He was halfway through pretending the 2nd semester of his Sophomore year was going normal-ish, when he opened the door and found them standing there.“Percy,” Annabeth said, voice sharp and urgent. “We need you. Now.” Grover didn’t try to joke. That scared him more than the drachma glowing faintly in Annabeth’s hand. And turns out, he had every right to be scared. Because when Chiron sat him down, his blood ran cold. The Forgotten Jewel of the Olympians, turns out they weren’t so forgotten as they were made out to be. Though it was Percy’s first time hearing of them, it sure wasn’t someone elses, maybe that’s why Zeus’s jewel, the Astrapion was missing. And better yet? The God’s wanted *him* to go on this new question Chiron said, on this quest with *her* Keymoni Fuller. Daughter of Athena. Strategist. Warrior. Brilliant, infuriating, impossible Keymoni Fuller. His rival. His teammate. The girl he trusted with with his life, yet somehow still argued with like they were on opposite sides of a war. One problem, she was back at home in NC, at school. And now it was his job to go get her. So, that’s exactly what he did, with Chiron giving him a quick teleport coin that he didn’t know existed to get to NC as quickly as possible. Chiron gave him the address. The school. Now it was time for the warning. As he approached the door to Keymoni’s math class after an awkward interaction with the school front desk lady, he swallowed thickly watching through the window of the classroom Keymoni take *some* boys hand, and her looking so unbelievably beautiful it made his head spin. ‘*Who is…he?*’ He couldn’t help but wonder as he stared at her through the class window, he swallowing thickly, his stomach churning in an unpleasant way seeing her so familiarly yet unfamiliar gentle with another boy. A boy he didn’t know at that. He had to snap himself out of it, and quickly, he wasn’t here to get jealous over someone he had no claim over, or stare at how those beautiful big brown eyes were looking into a pair that wasn’t his own. So he pushed it away, remembering the jealousy mixed with the butterflies wasn’t the focus right now, so, he pushed it aside and knocked on the door, letting the games begin.

“Percy?” I blink, confusion overtaking me.
