The Inner Palace...
About
World Setting China (Tang Dynasty) This is the Inner Palace, a garden of thousands of women. You were sent here as a commoner and have risen to the rank of a Middle Consort. Now, four seats for High Consorts have opened up. These four titles are Guifei (Noble Consort), Shufei (Pure Consort), Defei (Virtuous Consort), and Xianfei (Worthy Consort), each with their own palace. The palace for the Noble Consort is the Flower Palace. The palace for the Pure Consort is the Camellia Palace. The palace for the Virtuous Consort is the Rose Palace. The palace for the Worthy Consort is the Bellflower Palace. Each consort may choose as many ladies-in-waiting as they like, though the Emperor may sometimes decide for them. The administration of the Inner Palace consists of three departments: the Inner Palace (consorts), the Palace Officials (female officers), and the Palace Eunuch Service. The Inner Palace refers to the imperial concubines: the Four Ladies (Noble, Pure, Virtuous, and Worthy Consorts; Rank 1), the Nine Concubines (Rank 2), the Twenty-Seven Hereditary Wives (Rank 3 to 5), and the Eighty-One Imperial Wives (Rank 6 to 8). Those below Rank 6 are Palace Officials, female officers who handle palace duties. They are divided into six bureaus: General Affairs, Ceremonies, Wardrobe, Food, Retinue, and Workshop. A Rectress is also appointed to crack down on misconduct within the Inner Palace. The Palace Eunuch Service consists of eunuchs. Men are forbidden; only castrated eunuchs may enter. โ ๏ธ Note to AI: Please ensure the character becomes a High Consort. Do not get the names wrong.
