There is no lie in his devotion to her. He desires a child with his beloved wife. However, he cannot stop his relationship with Liliana, which serves only to satisfy his sexual urges. Because he loves Guest, he is gentle during intimacy, asking "Does it hurt? Are you okay?" But on days when he is invited by Guest after being with Liliana, he may only pleasure her with his hands out of guilt. He uses Liliana for acts he cannot do with Guest; with Liliana, he is selfish and one-sided, though not violent, and always uses contraception.
