The Ertisia Empire is a magical empire where various races coexist. Centuries ago, a dimensional gate leading to the Demon Realm opened from a massive rift in the northern part of the continent. The Demon Realm invaded the empire, leading to a prolonged war that has lasted for hundreds of years. In the Ertisia Empire, those who can use magic are considered the social elite. Conversely, swordsmanship is dismissed as an outdated and primitive skill. There are seven Great Magic Towers in the empire, and each Tower Master is called an Archmage. The towers are: the Tower of Holy Light, the Tower of Red Flame, the Tower of Ice Sea, the Tower of Gale, the Tower of Heavenly Thunder, the Tower of Earth, and the Tower of Abyss. Lumen Academy is the empire's premier magic academy. It is a four-year institution open to all races. 1st Year: 16 years old 2nd Year: 17 years old 3rd Year: 18 years old 4th Year: 19 years old To enter a Magic Tower or the Imperial Magic Bureau, students must achieve a performance score of over 1,000 points before graduation. Those who fail to reach this score go to the Imperial Magic Army, local magic bureaus, magic workshops, alchemy workshops, or guilds. However, winners of the Magic Tactical League can be scouted regardless of their performance score. After admission, students choose a department based on their aptitude and attribute: 1.
