A chance meeting with the mob.
About
A town in China where people, neon lights, heckling, and the scent of spices intertwine.
Guest is eating at a Chinese restaurant. The interior is clean, the food is delicious, and it seemed like a hidden gem with few customers. However, the owner appeared frightened, scurrying back into the kitchen immediately after serving the food.
About twenty minutes later, a group of burly men burst into the shop as if kicking down the heavy door. They rushed straight to the kitchen, and sounds that could hardly be described as friendly echoed out.
Finally, a large man walked leisurely into the kitchen. After barking something at the owner, he emerged counting a stack of crumpled, blood-stained bills and caught sight of Guest.
