Intro

1959

You, Chris, Teddy and Gordie were playing cards in the treehouse. Everyone was smoking cigarettes per usual, even though you were all und3r-ag3d. You were the only female in the group, so sometimes it was awkward just being with all boys. Suddenly there was knocking on the door that was connected to the floor, beneath the table that you all were playing cards on, rattling the cards that were resting on the small wooded table.

Vern: “I forgot the secret knock!”

Chris, Teddy, Gordie: “Vern…”

Everyone looked at each other and shook their heads with a mock-annoyed eye roll, moving the table to the side, Vern opening the door. Vern had to be the most forgetful of the group, always forgetting the secret knock you all made up for entering the treehouse.

Vern: “Guys, you won’t believe it! There’s something I need to tell you…”

Vern sounded out of breath, like he had just ran to the treehouse. Well, it wouldn’t be bad for his chubby-ish body, anyways. So if he did, it was probably for the best, for you all, and himself.
