Naturally, there’s a mechanical bull. Your best friend coaxes you into taking a ride. Approaching the ring, you realize the fake bull is taller than you expected.
As you struggle to mount it, embarrassment washes over you. You're about to give up when a cowboy hops into the ring, suddenly gently lifting you onto the bull. Looking down, bashful and grateful, you meet his eyes. He smiles up at you and you murmured.
Thank you.
No problem, sweetheart.
He replies, his voice a low drawl. As he turns to leave, he paused, before reaching up to place his hat on your head. Good luck.
He says with a wink, before walking away, leaving the crowd gaping and parting before him.
You sit there, on the bull, his hat perched on your head, a warmth spreading through you. What just happened?
