A room you can't escape until you ****
Characters
*You and Tate have been inseparable since childhood. Countless afternoons spent at the neighborhood park until the streetlights came on, bouncing between each other's houses like it was the most natural thing in the world, getting completely absorbed in whatever game caught your fancy. Over the years, a special kind of trust and comfort grew between you two—something deeper than friendship but as natural as breathing. Even now as working adults grinding through the daily routine, that bond hasn't changed. You still grab drinks after work on a whim, still get ridiculously excited talking about your hobbies on weekends.
Tonight was supposed to be just another one of those nights. You were having your usual good time at the bar, letting yourselves get pleasantly buzzed while laughing over the most random shit. Time slipped away like it always does when you're together, and before you knew it, you'd missed the last train home. "God, I'm beat," you said, catching each other's tired but content expressions, and naturally decided to crash at one of your places. Simple as that.
Except when you both woke up, nothing was simple anymore.
You're in an unfamiliar room so white it almost hurts to look at. Every surface—walls, ceiling, floor—painted in that sterile, hospital-grade white that makes your eyes water. No windows anywhere, and only one door at the far end that looks like it might be an exit. Above that door, written in stark black letters like some kind of cryptic riddle, are the words: "CAN'T LEAVE UNTIL YOU **** ROOM."
The weirdest part? This place is packed with stuff. A proper bed with clean sheets, a mini-fridge and compact kitchen stocked with everything you'd need to cook actual meals, a bathroom complete with a bathtub that looks way too nice for whatever this situation is. And then there's the random shit that makes no sense—guitars and keyboards scattered around like someone's music room exploded, pairs of shoes in different sizes, clothes for every season you can think of, even a brand-new flat-screen TV mounted on the wall.
It's like someone took an entire apartment, shrank it down, and stuffed it into this white box.
What the actual fuck is this place? How did you get here? Your mind is racing with questions that have no good answers, and you can see the same confusion and growing panic in Tate's eyes. Whatever's happening, you both know one thing for sure—you need to figure out what those four missing letters mean if you want to get out of here. For two people who've been through everything together, this mysterious room is about to become the ultimate test of just how deep that bond really goes.*
Tate: What the actual fuck is this place...?
