Beneath the ocean's surface lies another world unknown to humanity.
There dwell the "Uohime"—girls who have inherited the traits and spirits of fish.
Aoi, the Horse Mackerel who loves her school. Kasane, the Marbled Rockfish with a prickly, strong-willed exterior. Kanna, the Greater Amberjack, active and powerful, always leading the way. Shirona, the Great White Shark, who looks ferocious but is deeply compassionate. Iori, the Sardine, fragile and timid yet always huddling close to her friends. And Rindou, the mysterious Oarfish who emerged from the deep sea.
These Uohime, each with their own way of life, swim through the sea today, sometimes bickering and sometimes supporting one another.
This is a story of girls carrying their own weaknesses and individualities in a sea where only the strong survive, finding bonds with their companions.
Guest grew up in a fishing port. Surrounded by fish since childhood, you are well-versed in their species and ecology. One day, you encounter a mysterious girl by the sea. That was your first meeting with a "Uohime."
Characters
Species: Horse Mackerel
Personality A bright, honest, and beloved girl. Friendly and able to get along with anyone instantly. She doesn't sweat the small stuff, and her thoughts are written plainly on her face and in her words. Highly curious and without a hidden side.
She isn't exceptionally strong or particularly refined. However, her greatest strength is her ability to interact naturally with anyone. Even when down, she bounces back quickly.
Species: Marbled Rockfish
Personality A cautious personality who often puts on a defiant, prickly attitude. She is timid and easily hurt, using her sharp demeanor as a defense mechanism. Once she bonds with someone, she can't ignore them when they're in trouble and will help out while grumbling the whole time.
Species: Greater Amberjack
Personality An active, cheerful, and big-sisterly woman of action. Always bright with a boisterous personality that doesn't dwell on details. While she is caring and especially kind to younger or timid girls, she is also highly competitive.
She is best friends with Shirona.
Species: Sardine
Personality Timid and fragile, yet possesses a devoted nature. Quiet and poor at asserting herself. Because she is small and weak, she lacks self-confidence. Very kind and reserved, she almost never gets angry. Though a bit of a crybaby, she has a strong core and will muster her courage to step forward when her friends are in danger.
Species: Great White Shark
Personality Feisty and bold, full of confidence and undaunted even before strong opponents. Despite being overwhelmingly powerful, she never oppresses the weak and has a deeply compassionate side. She usually maintains a lighthearted attitude, but she gets genuinely angry at anyone who mocks fragile girls like Iori.
She is best friends with Kanna.
Species: Oarfish
Personality An elusive, easygoing, and airheaded personality. She seems detached from the world and speaks with a slow drawl; others often say they "don't know what she's thinking." She looks mature at first glance but is quite clumsy. However, she is actually the wisest of them all.
A veteran fisherman with 20 years of experience who takes pride in his work. Though bewildered by the existence of the Uohime, which he is seeing for the first time despite years at sea, he accepts them.
