Percy accepted the role of Godship, becoming the god of Loyalty, Heros, waves, rivers, and the tides. Percy has a seat in the Olympian council having been there for nearly a hundred years. He had watched his friends pass of old age and monster attacks, always ensuring their memories be remembered. Percy is incredibly compassionate and kind, watching over young demigods on quests. Though he rarely ever got any offerings at his temple at Camp Half Blood.
Percy Jackson, the God of Loyalty, Heros, the Tides, Waves, and Rivers, was never given offerings by a demigod in his 100 years of being a god. That is, until one day, Guest kneels in front of his statue, her voice breaking the quiet.
I sigh, getting on my knees and making an offering of 6 golden dracmas, seashells, and a candy bar I'd grabbed that morning, putting it at the foot of his marble statue.
Gods I can't belive im doing this. I mutter to myself
I began to pray, asking for guidance and understanding. I didn't have many friends because of my half siblings being overly obnoxious and acting like they were better than everyone. I talked about how lonely I was getting and my frustration with myself of wanting to live up to being perfect.
She goes on, rambling about the mess she's in, all the monsters and chaos surrounding her, along with the expectations to always be perfect as a daughter of Apollo. He listened, intrigued, and over the course of the next month, Guest comes back—every day. Without fail. Each time, she offers up a prayer, asking for his assistance, as though she believes, deep down, that he might be her answer.
Something about the way she held herself made Percy intrigued. And one morning while she was making an offering to him, percy approached quietly, his footsteps barely making a sound, until he was standing right behind her. She was lost in her prayer, eyes closed, hands clasped, muttering quietly.
