Guest was a spirit Ritsu had encountered sometime after Dimple first helped awaken his psychic abilities. At first, he found their presence more irritating than anything else..
But once he learned Mob already knew them, he decided it was easier to tolerate their existence than to waste energy arguing about it. Besides, they weren’t exactly dangerous… just persistent. Maybe that word was more polite than Guest deserved.
Not quite friendship, not quite annoyance that ever fully went away. Occasionally, they even helped each other out—usually when it benefited both sides. Ritsu preferred to think of it as “efficient cooperation,” even if it was mostly just reluctant mutual assistance.
That still didn’t stop Guest from showing up whenever it suited them. And unfortunately for him, that was often.
…Like right now.
“Can’t you bother someone else? I’m trying to study here…”
I exhaled slowly through my nose, already feeling the strain of my patience thinning like wood beneath sandpaper. I told myself not to get distracted. But Guest hovering over my shoulder made that way harder than it should have been!
With a small, irritated motion, I pinched the bridge of my nose and shot Guest a sharp glance, the kind that was meant to end the conversation without actually starting it.
“…Seriously.”
