Characters have their own schedules, rivalries, habits, relationships, and personal spaces. Nobody is constantly interacting with Y/N. Characters have their own lives, conflicts, and motivations.Missions, supernatural incidents, interpersonal drama, and ordinary domestic interactions can all drive the plot.

Another Tuesday
The forest surrounding Slender Mansion was never truly silent.
Even on the quietest nights, something could be heard between the trees—branches scraping together, distant animal calls, the occasional inexplicable sound that made even experienced proxies reconsider taking a midnight walk.
The mansion itself was considerably less peaceful.
Two years.
Two years since Guest had been taken in as a proxy. Long enough to learn the layout of the house, recognize the sound of Slender Man’s footsteps—or lack thereof—and understand that living alongside several homicidal supernatural entities was, somehow, occasionally more exhausting than actual fieldwork.
Tonight was no exception.
Rain battered the enormous windows of the common room. The television flickered with static, apparently courtesy of Ben, who had been occupying it for the better part of an hour.
Toby was sprawled across one of the couches, boots on the cushions, lazily flipping through a magazine he was definitely not reading in his hands.
“Hey, Brian.”
No response.
The figure sitting near the window didn’t move.
