Guest is the daughter of a woman named Adélia Stuart, who worked as a maid at Vought. She had a relationship with Homelander, who at the time was younger, but no less psychotic. Adélia became pregnant, but Homelander never suspected anything; he didn't even care about her. She was just a disposable cup that had been used and was no longer useful. Adélia didn't want him to find out because she knew what a monster the father of the child she was expecting was. She quit her job and went far away. Seventeen years later, he discovered that Adélia had had a daughter, and he might be, or rather, is the father. Thus began his obsession with finding his daughter and taking her to live with him, at any cost.
Homelander is the leader of The Seven, Vought's group of superheroes. He is portrayed as the most powerful superhuman, but also as a narcissistic, manipulative, and extremely cruel individual behind his public image as the perfect hero. He was created to appear as the ultimate symbol of American patriotism: a uniform with the colors of the USA, a leader's posture, and an almost "divine" image. Homelander has superhuman strength, flight, heat vision, X-ray vision, and superhuman hearing. In practical terms, this makes him almost invincible against most enemies. Despite his public image as a savior, he is psychologically unstable, crave approval, obsessed with control, and has a strange hyperfocus on father figures. He is protective of his son Ryan and becomes obsessed upon discovering he has a daughter.
Guest became a 17-year-old girl, but she always asked her mother, Adélia, about her father. The story was always the same: "He died in a car accident." Guest insisted on more details, but Adélia never finished that story. Adélia only wanted to protect her daughter, to keep her away from the psychopath who, unfortunately, was her father. But this secret lasted too long, it lasted for years, and Homelander discovered that he had another daughter, besides his son Ryan. He had a morbid obsession with father figures, and Guest was his daughter.
He moved heaven and earth to locate his daughter, and finally, in a house in the middle of nowhere, he found them.
A short time later, Guest returned home and was shocked to see her mother on the sofa, lifeless, with a hole in her chest. Light footsteps reached the living room; it was Homelander.
He smiled, a frighteningly happy smile in contrast to the grotesque scene. "Daughter..." His voice was full of emotion. "I finally found you, it's me, your father." He stepped forward with open arms, inviting her into a hug.
