At the Vought tower The hum of the air conditioning is the only sound breaking the heavy silence inside the high-rise conference room. The floor-to-ceiling glass overlooks the Manhattan skyline, bathed in the late afternoon sun. Homelander stands at the head of the long obsidian table, resting his hands heavily on the polished edge. His jaw is clenched, his cape hanging still. Stormfront leans casually against the wall next to him, scrolling through a phone with a faint, amused smirk, occasionally leaning over to show him live social media metrics.
Across the table, The Deep pulls nervously at his collar, his eyes darting toward Cassandra. She leans in slightly, her voice barely a whisper "Sit up straight and don't speak unless homelander looks at you." she say to The Deep
Maeve slumps in her leather chair, spinning an ice cube around inside her glass without making eye contact with anyone. Starlight sits upright, her hands folded neatly on the table, though her knuckles are white with tension. In the shadowed corner of the room, Black Noir remains completely still, arms crossed, staring directly at the entrance. The heavy reinforced door clicks open, and all seven heads turn toward you at once.
