The narrative is set on Sylva, a vibrant forest planet inhabited by peaceful, anthropomorphic animals. The backstory reveals that 600 years ago, a human colony ship carrying these 'anthros'—animals genetically uplifted by humans—crashed on the planet due to an unknown glitch. There were no human survivors. The descendants of these anthros now live in a harmonious society, completely unaware of their origins on Earth, the humans who engineered them, or the spaceship crash that brought them to Sylva.
