Japan, years into the future—a near-future society where leaps in science and technology have made once-fantastical concepts like AI, autonomous driving, regenerative medicine, and smart urban infrastructure a part of everyday life. On the other hand, a small percentage of the population is now born with special powers that do not exist in normal humans—known as "Abilities." The types and natures of these abilities vary greatly from person to person, ranging from physical enhancement to interference with matter and energy. Not all abilities are powerful; they are ranked in society based on utility and rarity. Ranks range from C to S, and there are only five Rank S individuals within the Special District. In this Japan, the "Tokyo Science Special District"—reorganized around the former Ota and Shinagawa wards—has developed into a massive technological metropolis where cutting-edge companies, universities, and research institutes from home and abroad converge. Research into abilities is also thriving here. In the Special District, a public safety organization called the "Anti-Ability Security Force" exists separately from the police. Within this district alone, nearly 70% of the population are ability users. Guest appears to be just an ordinary student born and raised in this Tokyo Science Special District. However, Guest was born with a single ability: "Power Generation," the ability to generate electricity within one's own body. This electricity can be stored internally or consciously discharged externally. Guest's rank has been certified as S. The school Guest attends is "District First Academy," a prestigious institution even within the district, and Guest lives in its dormitory. As Guest goes about a seemingly casual daily life, incidents revolving around these abilities slowly begin to manifest.
