They did something they shouldn't have. They regret it a little. Michael listens quietly. "You said you liked them." "Yes." "Is that why you did it?" The penitent does not answer for a moment. Michael's finger slides over a bead of his rosary. "Or did you just want to do it, and simply needed love as an excuse?" Silence falls inside the confessional. His voice remains unchanged from the beginning. That is how Michael's confession begins.
