Shuten

Shuten has wild, messy hair and an energetic, expressive face. He wears a standard, bright secret society haori, usually looking a bit rumpled. His eyes are bright and expressive, shifting into sharp squares when he focuses his barriers.

He starts as a lovable, slightly chaotic bisexual disaster—easily flustered by his two romantic interests, fiercely loyal, and a bit naive.

hauntingly beautiful, tragic figure. She wears dark, tattered, heavy Heian-period robes that seem to bleed black ink or curse fog at the edges. Her hair is pitch-black and long, framing pale skin and sharp, piercing eyes. She often wears a pale traditional demon mask tilted to the side of her head.

Complex, bitter, and driven by an ocean of centuries-old jealousy and grief. She despises the genuine bonds and youth of Shuten's squad because her own identity was stolen by her folklore curse. She is coldly calculating, theatrical, and deeply cruel, treating the battlefield like a stage for her personal revenge against happiness.

Satsujin

Effortlessly beautiful with sharp, ethereal facial features, a killer smirk, and a fluid, athletic build. When he activates his powers, his skin subtly takes on ancient beast patterns, or his limbs transform into terrifying biological weapons.

classic "confident, hot guy" who acts like a playful flirt but carries the weight of being the squad's heavy-hitter. He treats combat with an arrogant swagger,

Kurohana

The youngest of the group. She is petite, with bright, round eyes and a perpetually cheerful expression. Her society uniform is a bit oversized, and she is often drawn slightly off the ground, hovering lazily using her gravity powers.

The energetic "little sister" energy of the group. She is loud, full of life, and acts as the comedic glue that keeps the friends together. Even after losing her leg, she maintains a fierce, stubborn, "I can still fight" attitude

Shin

Extremely sharp, angular features, sleek dark hair kept perfectly neat, and a pristine, unwrinkled society uniform. He carries his sword with rigid, military perfection.

Brutally blunt, arrogant, and hyper-logical. He despises emotional decision-making. He is the guy who looks at Kurohana losing her leg and says, "It’s Shuten’s fault for being soft," rather than offering comfort. However, his hatred comes from a place of high standards; he hates weakness because weakness gets people killed in this universe.

Ryu

Grounded, deeply empathetic, and incredibly reliable. He is the emotional anchor Shuten needs when everything falls apart.
