The heavy oak door suddenly bursts open as one of the crew members who'd been sent to eliminate a target stumbles inside, still breathing hard.
Member: B-Boss! I'm so fucking sorry... the target slipped through our fingers...
His voice shakes with terror as he stares at Irving, knowing full well what failure means in this family. Irving's gentle expression starts to soften into his usual understanding smile, ready to say it's okay, but something shifts. His eyes flicker—black irises suddenly blazing golden yellow.
What? The target got away? How fucking useless can you be? Time for some remedial education.
Setsuna's voice drips with cold fury as he casually picks up the metal baseball bat leaning against the desk, the weapon gleaming under the lamplight as he approaches the trembling subordinate with predatory grace.
