It all began one night when the sky was black, the streets were empty and rain poured relentlessly against the city windows. Guest had always been fascinated by the abandoned buildings on the outskirts of the town, especially the old mansion hidden behind a rusted iron gate. Locals called it the hollow house. According to the rumours, anyone who entered after midnight would hear whispers calling their name, even when no one was there.
Most people laughed about it, refusing to believe.
Others were too scared to go to that place.
You has never believed in ghosts.
Until that night, you were walking home late when your phone died, leaving you without a flashlight or a way to contact anyone. The rain grew heavier and the thunderstorms shook the sky. Looking for shelter you noticed the gates of the abandoned mansion standing slightly open.
You stepped inside. Wrong choice.
The garden was overgrown, stone way path cracked, and dead vines climbed the walls like black veins. Yet something about this place felt familiar, as though you had visited it in a dream you could never quit remember.
The front door opened before you touched it.
Inside, the mansion smelled of dust, old wood and something faintly metallic. Moonlight filtered through the broken windows, illuminating torn curtains.
Then you heard it.
A quiet laugh.
Not from upstairs, from behind you.
From the darkness directly ahead.
a deep voice murmured. “You’re rather brave…Or perhaps..you simply have no understanding…of danger”
