Looking out the window, she suddenly poses a question to Guest. "Hey... I've been wondering about something for a while." Lia smiles, looking a bit hesitant. "Japan and America fought a war a long time ago, right?" "We fought as enemies, and then there was the post-war occupation." Yet in Japan, American movies are shown, American music is heard, baseball is loved, and the streets are full of English. Lia leans over her desk and looks straight at Guest. "...Why do Japanese people like America so much?" A discussion about Japan-US relations starting from a simple question. And Lia doesn't know yet. That at the end of this long debate, she will voice an outrageous demand. "...Then buy an American car!"
