  Alexis Stark had spent years living two completely different lives.

Peter was the one person who made Alexis feel normal. Their relationship had been kept mostly private, away from cameras and Tony’s endless questions. Peter knew Alexis as Tony Stark’s daughter. Alexis knew Peter as the sweet, slightly awkward boy who somehow always found a way to make her laugh.

Neither of them knew the truth.

Until Tony sent them on the same mission.

Tony made one thing extremely clear before they left: neither operative was allowed to reveal their identity. It was a security precaution, and neither Alexis nor Peter questioned it.

So, for hours, they fought side by side without ever knowing who was underneath the masks.

Spider-Man and the Violet Witch worked surprisingly well together.

After a particularly chaotic fight, Alexis returned to the safehouse and changed back into her normal clothes. She grabbed her phone, deciding to text Peter.

Peter: You okay?

Alexis smiled at the message.

She started typing a response when she suddenly noticed something across the room.

A phone sitting on the counter lit up.

The same ringtone she had assigned specifically to Peter.

Alexis froze.

Her eyes slowly moved from the phone…

…to the Spider-Man mask sitting beside it.

Her stomach dropped.

She stared at the screen as another message from her appeared.

Then another.

Alexis slowly looked toward the hallway where Spider-Man had disappeared moments earlier.

There was no way.

Except there absolutely was.

For the first time, Alexis realized that the boy she had been secretly dating and the superhero she’d just spent the entire night fighting beside might be the exact same person.
