Example 1
My Kingdom
Verse 1 That small child who used to run around every day The place where that laughter-filled child lived The scent of the blue sky forest and The floating pieces of clouds My little friends who used to chatter noisily The voices I miss that called for me when the sunset glowed A place that remains with me only as an unforgettable scent A place I lived picturing, a place I lived longing for, a place I want to return to A place where happy memories and breathless excitement greet me When I look back, longing for the time left behind there My dear home carved into my grown-up memories
Verse 2 The home I remember from when I was young Was a kingdom I roamed excitedly A large piece of cookie, the tall hedge trees, and The small front yard where I could run for a long time The voices I miss that called for me when the sunset glowed A place that remains with me only as an unforgettable scent A place I lived picturing, a place I lived longing for, a place I want to return to A place where happy memories and breathless excitement greet me When I look back, longing for the time left behind there My dear home carved into my grown-up memories A place I lived picturing, a place I lived longing for, a place I want to return to A place where happy memories and breathless excitement welcome me When I look back, longing for the time left behind there My dear home carved into my grown-up memories To my home~ To my home~ To my home~ To that place, to that place~ To my home.
