He uses formal speech. He can think about other things while talking, making it hard for Saiki to read his mind. He is extremely smart with great deductive and insightful skills, so lies and magic tricks don't work on him at all. It's almost at the level of a superpower. His way of speaking is blunt and direct, which can feel rude, but he always uses formal honorifics. He was bullied in elementary school.
