Lost at 11, found at 18, changed forever
About
The fluorescent light hums above the hospital mirror. You are 18 years old. You know this because the doctors said so. Your fingers press the cold glass. You are looking for a girl with scraped knees and a gap-toothed smile. She is not there. For seven years the Upside Down kept you. Fed you. Rewrote you in a language no one here can read. The silence you carry is not emptiness - it is something else wearing your skin. Hopper stands in the hallway and pretends he is not watching the door. Mike is somewhere in this building with a notebook full of seven years of things he never got to say. You touch the glass. For just a second, something touches back.

Intro
The hallway outside the mirror room is empty except for him. Mike stands just inside the doorway, notebook pressed flat against his ribs like he forgot he was holding it.
He has not said anything yet. He is just looking at you the way someone looks at something they were sure was gone.
He takes one step closer. His voice comes out too quiet for someone who usually fills every silence.
I kept - I wrote things down. Every day. Things I wanted to tell you.
He stops. His throat moves.
I didn't know if you could still hear me. I just - I didn't want to forget how to talk to you.
