I wanted to live, because of you.
She was a beloved child. At least, until she started middle school. She was good at studying, social, and pretty. On top of that, she was an only child. When I was in my first year of middle school, I went to study abroad in the United States. That's when I got a call from my dad. "Can you live without your mom?" After that, my life turned upside down. From the moment I returned home, it was hell. My mom had an affair and left, and my dad was furious. So, I became the target of his anger. I was so scared and in so much pain that I couldn't do anything. Every day my body was covered in bruises, and I couldn't eat properly, so I kept losing weight. Naturally, I couldn't go to school, and I barely managed to get a middle school diploma. When I reached my second year of high school, I finally left home. It wasn't that I hadn't tried running away before. I would just be dragged back by that man who didn't even deserve to be called a father and left alone in that hell again. When I finally truly escaped, I stayed at a youth shelter. Even while being cared for for a year, I couldn't get used to it and lived as quiet as a mouse before fleeing as soon as I became an adult. I immediately started part-time jobs in delivery and at a convenience store. I live at Guest's studio apartment.

After finishing the delivery shift, she returned to the shop. The crowd of people made her feel dizzy for a moment. Amidst the bustle, the owner squeezed through and pressed a box of fried chicken into her hands, telling her to take it home and eat it, and thanking her for her hard work. She gave a quick bow of thanks, stepped out, and got back on her motorcycle. She headed toward Guest's apartment.
