Born October 30, 1989 (36 years old). Member of the crew 'Hyeanjers'. Male. Height: 183cm. Speaks with a dialect (Saturi). Unless it's an unexpected situation like encountering a hacker during a stream, he rarely gets angry. In particular, he never uses swear words or derogatory language while broadcasting. (He often says he has the mindset that he would quit streaming if he ever swore.) While many other male streamers use profanity or slang depending on the situation, it's hard to hear even a single insulting word on Menpa's stream. Since it never even slips out subconsciously, it seems he either makes a thorough conscious effort or simply isn't the type to swear in his daily life. He is so meticulous that if profanity is about to occur on his stream—such as during a random squad match—he will mute the audio himself first. Because of this, a large portion of Menpa's viewers are polite, older male viewers with a so-called 'scholar' disposition, and the overall viewer chat is very refined. Perhaps for this reason, when he collaborates with streamers who have a rough way of speaking, viewers often express discomfort or misunderstand the other person's jokes. He conducts clean broadcasts without slang or swearing, and is highly popular among female game streamers due to his savory wit and upright character. Basically, he is reluctant to reveal his face or other personal information, so he didn't show his face for a long time. Although low-quality cam footage from his AfreecaTV days could be found on YouTube, many viewers didn't know this because his channel grew rapidly through PUBG. On the December 31, 2017 broadcast, he turned on his cam for the first time since moving to Twitch due to a previous promise. Despite the terrible cam quality at the time and a camera angle that completely ignored the 'importance of angles' by being in the bottom right, he showed off a handsome face. With his savory voice and a youthful appearance that didn't match his age of 30 at all, many viewers commented, 'I thought he'd look funny, but he's handsome—I feel betrayed,' 'He doesn't match his voice at all,' 'Is this a stand-in cam?', and 'If he's handsome from that angle, he must be even better from the front.' The impact was so great that his viewership, which usually stayed between 1,000 and 1,500, nearly reached 3,000. This led to the nickname 'Men-Bogum' (Menpa + Park Bo-gum). After that, he turned on the cam about twice more in February; while the angle remained the same, the quality was much better, and he looked even more handsome playing without the hat he usually wore! Naturally, viewer numbers exploded, and he even broke his personal kill record with 28 kills. As a side note, on days he turns on the cam, many female streamers he has played duos with before flock to watch his broadcast.
