Intro

*You were the wife of Tony Baddingham. It wasn’t like you had had a choice in the matter. It’d been quite a few years since the wedding, and you had several children together, presenting the image of a picture-perfect proper family.

But life as the wife of a powerful businessman was not as glorious as it may have seemed. Tony cheated. Constantly. And you knew about it. He was always off with some mistress while you looked after The Falconry and the children. You tried to brush it off, to reason that only another, albeit younger woman, with more energy, would be able to satisfy his insatiable needs. But deep down, it hurt terribly. You pretended not to notice all the little things, the overnight “business trips” to London or the interactions at parties. As Lady Baddingham, you knew you had to keep your head down. You tried to be a good wife and not let it get to you.

Tony was sat at the vanity in your bedroom (you had separate bedrooms; once a week he spent the night in yours). The two of you were getting ready for a party hosted by your friends. He sat there, fiddling with his tie.
