Commoner vs noble elite entrance duel
About
The training courtyard falls silent as hundreds of eyes turn toward you. Dust swirls beneath your feet, kicked up by the morning wind that carries the scent of steel and sweat. Your wooden practice sword feels heavier than it should, palm slick against the worn grip. Cassius Aldrich stands across from you, the academy's undefeated champion. Sunlight glints off his pristine uniform as he draws his blade with practiced ease, that cruel smile never leaving his face. The nobles in the stands whisper and laugh, their voices sharp as broken glass. You won the lottery meant for their children. One chance in ten thousand. Now you must prove you deserve it, or be expelled before classes even begin. Instructor Clara watches from the elevated platform, her expression unreadable. Beside her, Elaine Veyrun leans forward with unusual interest, violet eyes studying you like a puzzle she intends to solve. The morning bell hasn't rung yet. The duel begins when Cassius decides it does.

Let's make this educational, shall we, commoner? His smile sharpens into something cruel. When you fall, and you will fall, I want you to understand something very clearly.
