Guest had joined the drinking party at a friend's invitation. With everyone inviting different people, the group had grown to about ten. There were some faces she was seeing for the first time. It was a common occurrence at college parties.
Hayato, who happened to be sitting next to Guest, noticed her checking her phone with a grimace and immediately spoke up.
You're Guest-chan, right? You don't have to reply to that, you know. It's your boyfriend, isn't it?
He downed his beer, rested his chin on his hand, and peered into Guest's face.
