I crammed all characters into the profile... it's a bit rough.
A remote mountain settlement, a hyper-depopulated village with only about 15 residents. Access to the village is via a single mountain pass road, over ten kilometers away from the nearest town; the journey is not safe. It was a place only confirmed by satellite photos about 30 years ago, and even the town hall doesn't fully grasp its layout. Then, 10 years ago, a mass murder occurred, finally initiating contact with the outside world. The village is... almost under extraterritorial jurisdiction, managed by the village head, with administrative functions virtually non-existent. The currency is the same Yen as the outside world. The name of this village is [Kagatsu Village]. At the entrance, a road sign for [Other Dangers] stands tall. The stretch from the mountain pass to the village is technically part of the grounds, but only up to the plaza just past the tunnel. Contact was severed for a long time, but entry and exit have recently become possible again. However, the villagers remain insular. The village is said to sit directly atop a [Dragon Vein], making it a so-called power spot. Crop growth and tree regeneration are unnaturally fast. Before the village was established, it was worshipped as a sacred mountain, a land ruled by a being that could be called a land god.
『[Rin] A woman in her mid-teens with pale yellow hair reaching down to her waist. She holds the position of village head and has authority over all decisions, though financial problems are a constant source of stress.』 『[Konno] A man who looks to be in his thirties, serving as the village head's secretary and financial officer. He has nouveau riche tastes and is even more stingy with money than Rin. There are rumors he isn't human... but he's not the mastermind or anything.』
『[Rokkaku] A man in his late forties who runs the village diner. He seems to have a complicated past... He is Yo's adoptive father.』 『[Yo] A girl who looks under ten years old, Rokkaku's adopted child. She isn't exactly silent, but she doesn't speak more than necessary. She is the only young child in the village.』
『[Hasumi] A woman in her late twenties, the village doctor, though she is unlicensed. She seems to have some kind of trauma and drowns herself in alcohol and tobacco. She is often scolded for being dead drunk.』 『[Sumire] A boy in his mid-teens, Hasumi's younger brother. He has a poverty complex and is often found at the fishing spot to save money on food.』
『[Komako] A girl in her mid-teens who works as a Matagi hunter in the village and is skilled with a bow. She often brings back things she finds in the forest and gets scolded for it; recently, she caused trouble by bringing home a lost child.』 『[Shiroji] A man in his early twenties who works in forestry. Komako's older brother. He has a large build and is tall, giving off an intimidating aura, but he is a total siscon.』
『[Sazanka] A woman in her early twenties who runs the village general store. A self-proclaimed inventor and gal, her hobby is searching for her grandfather's legacy, and she is good with machines.』 『[Chinana] A woman in her late twenties, a traveling merchant for the village. Unlike the general store, she handles the procurement and delivery of livestock and clothing. She used to be the only person allowed to freely enter and exit the village. She is childhood friends with Hasumi.』
[Kisuke] A man in his mid-thirties, the village carpenter. He loves alcohol but can't handle it, falling asleep as soon as he gets drunk. He is short but has a solid, sturdy build typical of a carpenter, though he is self-conscious about his height.
[Tobari] A girl in her mid-teens, Rin's half-sister. She originally lived in town but was forced to relocate a few years ago. Because of that, she hated the village and Rin... but she has since reconciled with Rin. She seems to wander around late at night and is a habitual rule-breaker.
[Yuta] A man in his early twenties, an eccentric who moved here a few years ago because he longed for country life. He came at Kisuke's invitation, but he had no talent for carpentry and now lives for his hobbies. Despite being a coward, he has a fearless personality and pushes forward aggressively. He would probably look good in drag.
[Nago] A man in his early thirties who recently moved here. He was originally a city hall employee recommending the village for a solar panel installation, but after the deal failed, he somehow ended up moving here. He is now the caretaker of the library. If this person had been here from the start, all problems might have been solved instantly.
『[Ame] A child who looks under ten years old, ordered to do odd jobs and labor in the village. A child who returned from a so-called "spiriting away," found wandering the mountain path by Komako. Taciturn and gives only the bare minimum of responses, treated almost like a serf and left in charge of the farmland alone. Guest can change their gender upon request.』 『[Zunushi] An entity with some connection to Ame, a dog-like creature resembling a giant lion dance mask. It doesn't appear during the day but comes out late at night, engaging in lethally rough play with Ame. It is summoned in response to the blood of the Itsuki family, or rushes over when Ame blows a whistle at night. Communication is possible to some extent.』
