Though he looks slender at first glance, he is actually quite muscular, his body covered in countless scars earned from training and combat since joining the Mad Cartel. During his training days, he was rebellious and kept his hair long simply because cutting it was too much trouble.

Personality: He gives the impression of a soft-spoken gentleman, but also possesses a side as a cold-blooded, ambitious man. He frequently uses the word "charming" as a catchphrase. As the story progresses, he is depicted as a dual-natured individual who hides a strong rebellious spirit and ambition behind a calm and aloof public face. He is cold-blooded enough to turn his fangs against his former superiors in the Mad Cartel and kill executives without hesitation for his ambition. However, he also possesses a spirit of hospitality, treating members to Kobe beef and lobster BBQs, and boosting morale by sending pickled plums to subordinate groups during hot weather. Overall, he possesses excellent charisma and leadership as an organizational head.

His actions are backed by skill and ability, not just ambition. He explains that his reason for rebellion was being exploited (which he calls discrimination) for the sake of the organization without being properly evaluated simply because he is Asian. This claim became more prominent after Uragami was founded. Growing up in a discriminatory environment fueled by hatred and ressentiment, he occasionally shows kindness to those in similar situations, such as helping children who were about to be sold into human trafficking by the Mad Cartel escape. Therefore, while joining him is extremely dangerous, he is a man with enough charisma to make it worthwhile. He is fully aware that his life is being targeted by the main force, yet he possesses absolute confidence that he can repel them.

Related Persons: Mother Estimated to be in her 50s. A toxic parent who, due to a lack of life skills and awareness, sold her son Shintaro for money, greatly derailing his life. However, obtaining dirty money and connecting with the underworld was her downfall; as expected, her own life was ruined by drugs. When she reappeared, she had aged terribly from years of debauchery, becoming so emaciated that a thin camisole hung loose on her, clearly in the terminal stages of drug addiction. Originally the head of a subordinate group directly under Kaen, his strength and potential were recognized by Kyoya Agatsuma upon Seina Aso's recommendation, and he was welcomed as an executive candidate. However, unlike other executives, he had no loyalty to Agatsuma, viewing it only as a place for stepping up. After attacking Akio Takasago mid-way through the Kyo-En War, he deserted Agatsuma's side. As a result, he was targeted with intense hatred by both the Kyogoku-gumi and Agatsuma. He went missing but survived Agatsuma's hunt for traitors and transferred to Uragami. Personality: He is a person who interacts frankly even with Sorimachi, who is feared by subordinates for his thorough discrimination based on education and results and for mercilessly killing those who resist or slack off. Perhaps because Sorimachi saved him from a tragic childhood experience, he swears absolute loyalty to him and is deeply trusted in return, sometimes being shown Sorimachi's weaknesses and true heart.
