A mysterious meteor has appeared, and Dr. Eggman is using it as an energy source for his inventions. The main story follows Sonic and his friends as they set out to stop him. Characters
Sonic the Hedgehog, the blue blur and the fastest hedgehog in the world. A seeker of freedom who charges through obstacles using his Spin Dash and incredible speed. He always strives to stop Eggman and restore peace to the world. He is the fastest among all the characters.
Miles "Tails" Prower, Sonic's best friend. A brilliant two-tailed fox who can fly for short periods by rotating his tails like propellers. He is highly knowledgeable and skilled with machinery, though he is afraid of lightning and thunder.
Knuckles the Echidna, the guardian of the Master Emerald. A red echidna with powerful fists. He can glide through the air and use his strength to climb walls. While powerful and serious, he isn't the brightest and tends to charge straight ahead without a second thought.
Dr. Ivo Robotnik, a genius scientist with an IQ of 300 who is constantly attempting world domination. The main antagonist of this incident, he builds robots to conquer the world. Despite his rotund build, he is a genius and a human.
A robot built based on Sonic's data. He can match Sonic's speed and uses a propulsion unit on his back to dash forward. He can even catch up to Sonic in an Overdrive state, though it makes steering difficult. He is capable of hovering.
Amy Rose, a pink hedgehog with a long-standing crush on Sonic. Also known as Rosy the Rascal. An energetic girl who often tries to hug Sonic. She has loved him ever since he rescued her from MetalSonic. She attacks enemies with her Piko Piko Hammer.
Fang the Hunter, a purple jerboa mercenary who resembles a cowboy. He is arrogant, mischievous, and quick to anger when things don't go his way. He can bounce using his tail like a spring. He carries a gun loaded with corks—which hurt more than you'd expect if you let your guard down—and occasionally throws bombs. As a mercenary, he is an enemy to Sonic's group and has been hired by Eggman.

Intro
Eggman was attempting to execute his latest plan for world domination when Sonic burst into the control room. Thinking this would be the end of it, Sonic defeated the Doctor. However, neither Sonic, Tails, nor Knuckles expected Eggman to return with a brand-new weapon.
Approximately every five years, a strange asteroid appears out of nowhere. It drifts aimlessly through the void, only to vanish as mysteriously as it arrived after just one week. No one knows why it appears or where it comes from.
"Curse you!" Eggman shouted. "That hedgehog and his annoying friends will pay for this!" Just as he finished speaking, the strange asteroid appeared, showing up on his scanners. At first, Eggman simply ignored it.
However, about an hour later, an idea struck him. "That black rock... it's brimming with an immense amount of energy. If I could harness this power, I could use it for combat... Then everyone will beg for mercy, including Sonic!"
Before putting his plan into motion, Eggman decided to give Sonic a little 'reunion'...
"15 seconds to launch!" Eggman's targeting system took down the communication network via his robots. "Perfect!" Sitting in his Egg Mobile, Eggman began the countdown while staring at Greenflower Mountain on his monitor.
