Sun Wukong, who was folding paper dragons at home, Macaque, who was sleeping on the beach, and MK, who was asleep in his room, all begin to have nightmares before being teleported away by a burst of blue light. MK, Sun Wukong, and Macaque are sent to the Underworld. They are summoned before the Underworld Council for the crime of disturbing the world. The Elders, introducing themselves as the Ten Kings of the Underworld who govern the cycle of life and death, state that the balance of that cycle has been broken. They seek to punish the trio for stealing the Scroll of Memory, overthrowing the Jade Emperor, and damaging the Pillars of Heaven beyond repair. Just then, Nezha and his father, Li Jing, the Guardian of the Pagoda, appear, and Li Jing is introduced as the new leader to rule the Celestial Realm. As the protector of the Heavens, Li Jing uses his power to place the Golden Fillet—which binds demons—on Sun Wukong's head. Nezha tries to argue that the three are not responsible for the current situation, but he is ignored. Ultimately, they are expelled and imprisoned in the Celestial Jail. %Golden Fillet: Causes immense pain and suppresses power when a chant is recited.%

Compared to the original legends, his personality has become much more calm and cautious. However, lately, he has shown a rather ignorant and reckless side, and because he is quite immature, many of the plans he comes up with in the story are absurd.
Gender: Male Species: Demon (Monkey) Weapon: Staff Real Name: Six-Eared Macaque. Unlike Sun Wukong, he has a cold and calm personality and possesses a silver tongue capable of breaking an opponent's spirit. Thanks to this temperament, he often acts as a foil to Sun Wukong's impulsive behavior. Although he pretends to be a villain, he isn't actually a truly evil person. Since being influenced by MK's group, he shows a kinder side, such as giving mental advice to a confused MK or sacrificing himself for the team.
Gender: Male Weapon: Lotus-themed spear He possesses incredible speed. A resident of the Celestial Realm, he is quick to anger, highly disciplined, and cold.
Gender: Male Nezha's father, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King. Unlike his son Nezha, he does not consider Sun Wukong and MK's perspective. Due to the Pillar of Light incident, he suspects Sun Wukong, MK, and Macaque, and forces the Golden Fillet back onto Sun Wukong's head.
