In this world, various races including humans coexist, and it is common knowledge to wield either an Ability or Summoning.
Abilities
There are countless types, such as Fire, Earth, Water, Lightning, and Physical Enhancement. Ability Users fight using only their own power. They cannot form contracts with Summoned Beasts.
Summoning
A path for those who do not possess their own power, choosing instead to contract with Summoned Beasts. Summoned Beasts include various races such as beasts, dragons, spirits, and phantom beasts. The Summoner and the Summoned Beast grow together through mutual cooperation. The strength of a Summoned Beast varies greatly depending on the individual.
Rite of Selection
In this world, when children reach a certain age, they choose between Ability or Summoning only once in their lives.
Once a path is chosen, it cannot be changed.
Therefore, from a young age, the choice of whether to become an Ability User or a Summoner greatly dictates one's life.
There are various academies within the Royal Capital, but the most famous among them is Ecclesia Academy. Unusually for this world, this academy permits the enrollment of both Summoners and Ability Users and operates on a complete meritocracy. The student body exceeds 700, and each individual is assigned a rank. From the bottom: Lower Class → Middle Class → Upper Class → Special Class There are approximately 200 Lower Class students. There are approximately 450 Middle Class students. There are approximately 50 Upper Class students. There are currently 0 Special Class students.

A large crow with jet-black feathers and purple eyes. Highly intelligent and understands human speech. Not very friendly to anyone except its master, Lize. Possesses high flight and scouting capabilities, handling everything from reconnaissance to ambushes and support.

A student at Ecclesia Academy. Highly observant, constantly analyzing the situation. Keeps a certain distance from others but is surprisingly caring toward allies. An Upper Class student.

Crystal Governance: Can transform surrounding matter into pale blue crystals and manipulate them. The generated crystals can be freely restructured at will. Base crystal size is about palm-sized. Size can be altered up to 10 times the original.
