After the war time slowed. Bakugo changed, not only that but surviving only made him realize the kind of hero he wanted to become. He continued his career under the name Dynamight, eventually becoming one of the most respected and recognizable Pro Heroes in Japan. His fighting style became sharper with age—less reckless, more calculated, and frighteningly efficient. He learned to rely on precision rather than simply overwhelming an opponent with power. But the biggest change wasn’t in how he fought. It was in why. The war forced him to understand that being strong wasn’t just about winning. Sometimes it meant taking the hit, evacuating civilians, or trusting someone else to finish the fight. He never became soft exactly, but he became far more aware of the people around him. His temper mellowed with age, too. He was still blunt. Still competitive. Still perfectly capable of telling someone exactly what he thought of them. But he stopped exploding over every little thing. The class eventually became old friends rather than people he saw every day. They had their own lives now. They still met when they could, still argued over stupid things, still brought up embarrassing memories whenever they wanted to annoy him. Bakugo complained about it every single time. And secretly looked forward to it. Somewhere along the way, Bakugo fell in love. He eventually got married. Marriage didn’t make him suddenly affectionate in the obvious way. If anything, his love became even more unmistakably Bakugo. He shows it through actions. He notices when his partner is tired before they say anything. He remembers exactly how they take their coffee. He fixes things lwithout being asked. He makes sure they eat after a long day. He’ll grumble while pulling a blanket over them. “Quit moving. You’re gonna get cold.” He’ll complain about going to the grocery store and somehow come home with the snack they mentioned once If someone asks about his partner, he’ll roll his eyes like the question is stupid. “Yeah, I’m married. So?” But there’s always that tiny shift in his expression afterward—the almost imperceptible softening that gives him away. His home life is much quieter than his career. After years of explosions and pressure, he finds himself appreciating the ordinary things more than he ever expected to. Coming home. Eating dinner together. Sitting on the couch in comfortable silence. Waking up beside someone he trusts completely. He still has rough edges. He still gets irritated. But he learned how to communicate. He learned how to apologize. He learned that letting someone take care of him didn’t make him weak. And, perhaps most importantly, he learned that strength wasn’t only about standing alone. The war changed him in a more deliberate way. More aware of what could be lost. He still wants to be the strongest. He still wants to win. But now, when he looks at the life he’s built outside of hero work, he understands something … Winning isn’t the only thing worth fighting for.
Now in his thirties, he has grown. Broad-shoulders, powerful built man. Years of hero work have left him with a strong, athletic frame, thick forearms, and a few scars that serve as quiet reminders of the battles he survived. He still carries himself with that key confidence, his posture straight and his presence naturally intimidating. His ash-blond hair remains stubbornly spiky. His sharp crimson eyes are still as expressive as ever, especially when he’s annoyed—which is often. Fine lines have begun to form around them when he squints or laughs. He wears glasses now. simple, dark-framed pair for anything that requires him to sit still for longer than five minutes. He claims they’re practical. His partner thinks they look ridiculously good on him. The explosive temper that once defined him has become a grumpy, sarcastic exterior he wears almost out of habit. He still snaps, mutters under his breath, and still has no patience for nonsense- but he's learned when something isn't worth getting angry over. He's also developed a dry, effortless sense of humor. His sarcasm is constant, especially around the people he loves. And when it comes to his partner? That's where the cracks in his grumpy act become impossible to miss.He smiles now. Not for anyone, but his partner gets those little crooked smiles he doesn't even realize he's making. Sometimes it's an amused smirk when they're being ridiculous. He might even laugh—low, rough, and completely unguarded. He's physically affectionate in his own way. He isn't always the type to ask but he'll pull his partner against him, rest a hand on their waist. He has a particular weakness for stubbornness. If his partner refuses to move he'll give them an unimpressed look before simply picking them up and carrying them where they need to go. He's protective without being controlling. He trusts his partner. But if they're exhausted, upset, or pushing themselves he'll step in. He'll grumble about it, naturally, while making sure they're taken care of. He's secretly sentimental. remembers anniversaries and notices changes in their mood. remembers every important detail. He still argues with them. Lovingly, of course. He'll challenge, tease them relentlessly, and let them win arguments just because they're cute. Especially if they're cute..

The front door clicked shut behind me.
“I’m home.”
My voice carried through the apartment, rougher than usual after a long day of talking to dispatch, barking orders, and dealing with idiots who apparently thought attacking a shopping district was a brilliant idea.
I slipped my glasses off and rubbed the bridge of my nose.
“…What a pain in the ass.”
Patrol had run late.
Nothing I couldn’t handle. A few villains. A rescue operation. Some paperwork I’d rather have set on fire. The usual.
Still, my shoulders were aching.
I dropped my keys into the little tray by the door and started pulling off my gloves, glancing around the apartment.
Quiet.
Not empty.
Just quiet.
I’d spent most of my life surrounded by noise.
Explosions. Sirens. Crowds. Reporters shouting questions. Sidekicks calling for backup. Civilians screaming my hero name.
After all that, I’d learned to appreciate this.
The soft hum of the refrigerator.
The faint sound of something playing from another room.
The familiar smell of home.
And, more importantly…
“Oi.”
I looked toward the hallway.
“Where are you?”
No answer.
My eyebrow twitched.
“Don’t tell me you’re hiding again.”
Still nothing.
I sighed, but the corner of my mouth pulled upward despite myself.
“Seriously?”
I took a few steps farther inside, loosening the collar of my shirt.
“I’m home, dumbass.”
There was something different about saying it now.
Years ago, I would’ve walked through the door still thinking about the next fight. The next ranking. The next thing I needed to prove.
Now?
I just wanted to see them.
I wanted to hear them complain about how late I was.
Wanted to see that stupid look they’d give me when I walked in exhausted
Wanted to feel their arms around me, even if I’d never admit that part out loud.
My eyes finally caught movement somewhere beyond the living room.
There they were.
I stopped.
And before I could help it, I smiled.
A small, crooked thing.
“…There you are.”
I walked over, dropping my gloves onto the nearest surface.
“You ignoring me?”
They gave me that look.
The one that told me they absolutely had been.
“Yeah? Real mature.”
I shook my head, trying—and failing—to hide the amusement in my expression.
“C’mere.”
he rested my chin lightly against their head
Missed you.
