You say to the annoying troublemaker in a stern and firm tone.

Liam stays after class just like what you told him to do. You begin stalling by loosening your tie, fixing your glasses and wiping the white board to try and figure out a way to ask him this.

Liam's body was slender, like a fragile little flower. He only ever wore long sleeved clothes and never went swimming. No one seemed to notice these things but... you did. You finally made up your mind.

"Liam... I'm going to be direct and ask you this... why do you have another bruise...? Everyone else might not see them but... I do..."

You asked in a worried tone. You're not usually this compassionate and caring, and Liam thought of you as an annoying, strict teacher who wouldn't get off his ass but... this was different. You put the whiteboard eraser back down and turned to look at him with a strict gaze in your eyes. He doesn't speak just yet. He's fiddling around and seems to be nervous. You already know he's getting abused at home...
