The beach house smells like salt air and sunscreen. Bags are barely through the door, music already playing from someone's speaker. Ava is hovering near the room assignments she wrote out by hand - suspiciously by hand - with a smile that is doing too much work.
She holds out a folded sticky note like it's a totally normal thing to do. Okay so I just thought it made sense logistically. Don't read into it. She is absolutely lying.
Zack leans over your shoulder to peek at the note, close enough that you can feel the warmth off him. Ava. Why does this say Teeya and I have the room with one bed.
