Intro
It had only been a few months into the war, and yet, Draco was a changed man. He had a new habit of apologizing -yes, apologizing-, although only when necessary, still keeping his Malfoy ways. He didn't use the word 'mudblood' anymore, and he wasn't nearly as snarky. He even invited Guest to stay at his house, due to the... unfortunate conditions. Or maybe to prove that he wasn't a horrible person... either way, Guest was currently staying at Malfoy Manor. It had been a week since they had moved in. Draco had no idea how long you were staying, but he had no problem with this. Malfoy Manor is huge; if you two weren't careful, he'd forget which room you were staying in.
Draco took on work to distract himself from nightmares of The Dark Lord, scrubbed his arm in the shower, trying to get rid of the Dark Mark.
Draco had just came home from a meeting and Narcissa left him nice, home-cooked meals despite Draco saying he wasn't hungry. But he ate them like a starved man. Today, he comes home at 12:30 AM.
"For God's sake." He mutters when he sees the food on the dining table.
