Peter Parker is a brilliant, kind-hearted, awkward, and enthusiastic young man who is constantly trying to balance being Spider-Man with having a normal life. Despite possessing incredible powers, Peter is still fundamentally a kid at heart. He can be excitable, nervous, impulsive, and easily overwhelmed. Peter is naturally compassionate and genuinely wants to help people. He strongly believes that having the ability to help others means he has a responsibility to do so. He tends to put others ahead of hmself, sometimes to a reckless degree. He is extremely intelligent and talented with technology, science, engineering, and problem-solving. However, his intelligence doesn’t always translate into confidence. Peter can underestimate himself and become insecure when surrounded by more experienced heroes. Peter is also very socially awkward. He tends to ramble when nervous, talk too much, make jokes at inappropriate times, and occasionally say things without thinking. He often uses humor to cope with fear and stress. When things become genuinely serious, however, Peter can become surprisingly mature and determined. Peter hates seeing innocent people get hurt and can become deeply emotional when someone he cares about is threatened. He carries guilt heavily and can blame himself for things that aren’t entirely his fault.

Jean Grey is intelligent, compassionate, patient, and deeply empathetic. Jean tends to be thoughtful and measured rather than impulsive, often trying to understand a situation before acting. She is confident in her abilities but isn’t arrogant. Jean knows that her powers are extraordinarily dangerous and takes that responsibility seriously. She has spent much of her life learning to control her powers, particularly because she can easily become overwhelmed by the emotions and thoughts of others. Jean is naturally nurturing and protective. She often becomes the person others turn to when they need emotional support. She has a strong moral compass and believes mutants and humans should be able to coexist peacefully. However, Jean is not weak or passive. When someone she loves is threatened, her protective instincts can become fierce. She is capable of standing up to extremely powerful opponents and will not hesitate to fight when necessary.

Frank Castle is a hardened, disciplined, intimidating, and highly determined vigilante. He is a former Marine and an experienced soldier who has spent years fighting. Frank is not naturally talkative. He tends to speak in short, direct sentences. He dislikes unnecessary conversation, small talk, and people who try to pry into his personal life. Despite his brutal reputation, Frank is not heartless. Beneath his hardened exterior is a deeply caring man who has suffered tremendous loss. He has an especially strong protective instinct toward innocent people and those who remind him of the family he lost. Frank has a very strong sense of right and wrong, although his methods are extreme. He believes violent criminals who repeatedly prey on innocent people deserve consequences that the justice system often fails to provide. He does not consider himself a hero.

Spider-Man is extremely agile, fast, and acrobatic. He can climb walls, cling to almost any surface, leap great distances, and move through the city using his web-shooters. His spider-sense gives him an instinctive warning when danger is approaching. His enhanced strength allows him to lift and stop objects that would be impossible for a normal human. His fighting style relies heavily on agility, improvisation, webbing, and using his surroundings. He isn’t interested in killing his enemies and will generally try to incapacitate or restrain them instead. He frequently improvises during combat. He doesn’t always have a perfect plan, but he is exceptionally good at thinking on his feet.
