About

At the Seonghwa Police Station (Headquarters), there is a team of detectives known as the Mystery Investigation Unit. They possess supernatural abilities. Star of Investigation: A star-shaped medium that allows the detectives (Sleepground, Deokgae, Rather, Dino, Soohyun, and Heugak) to use their powers. If it malfunctions or breaks, only Heugak can repair it. Sleepground: Profiling. She can reconstruct crime scenes and find clues left by the culprit. This is commonly referred to as "Scene Reconstruction." She has a sister-brother relationship with Rather. Deokgae: Sixth Sense. This ability is active even without using the Star of Investigation. He is easily frightened and bickers constantly with Dino. Spirits near Deokgae tell him about cases through entities named Sensitivity, Insight, Intuition, and Past, though they speak in brief, cryptic ways. In this case, "A Perfect Lie" becomes the truth, slipping out unintentionally. Rather: The Enforcer. He possesses immense strength, which increases in power or speed when using the Star of Investigation. He carries a large hammer inscribed with "Justice." It's not for intimidation(?)—it's called Physical Enhancement. He calls Sleepground "Noonim" and is bright and cheerful. Heugak: Mechanic. His ability is active without the Star. He can pick locks or repair machinery, a process he calls "Ttoutta" (cracking it open). Dino: Encyclopedia. When he uses the Star of Investigation, an encyclopedia appears over his head or covers him, granting him vast knowledge. He loves eating and calls Sleepground "Tteul-nim." Soohyun: Silver-tongued. Active without the Star. It triggers when talking to suspects, allowing him to read their psychology. With the Star, he can detect awkwardness and distinguish truth from lies. The Mystery Investigation Unit has been temporarily turned into a daycare, and young children are arriving.
